   Essentially the same thing happens whenever you subscribe to a magazine, do a simple survey at a State Funded University (yeah, they spammed the heck out of me after that one), walk into an Amusement Park, Go to a sporting event, assign an email account, set-up an online account for Credit Cards or other finances. If you can't take the time to at least SKIM the user agreements of an entity you probably shouldn't be submitting your info.
